Q: How can I find out when a certain SLG comic will come out?
Visit the Production Schedule page often. It lists specific dates for upcoming and recently published books, as well as comics scheduled to be in stores in the upcoming months.
Q: Why is Gargoyles #2 so late?
The art on Gargoyles #2 took longer to complete than anyone involved with the project anticipated. SLG apologizes to Gargoyles fans who are justifiably frustrated with the delay. The issue is now in production and will be available in December.
Q: Will there be any more issues of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac/Squee/I Feel Sick?
A: Jhonen has discussed several projects with us, none of which are related to his "Johnny" universe. We'll keep you apprised of any new developments.
Q: Where can I find a store near me that carries Slave Labor Graphics comic books and merchandise?
A: Our retailer supporters page lists stores that carry our comic books.
Q: Why doesn't my Fillerbunny squeak?
A: Because he's not supposed to. Fillerbunny does sometimes make a slight, wheezy squeak if you squeeze his head, but that's it, and it's just accidental. He's not equipped with a squeaker like Spooky's.
Q: Why don't my Carl Cthulhu's eyes flash?
A: We try to check all the Carls to make sure their Electronic Gazes of Madness work before we send them out, but sometimes, the buttons get pressed in shipment, causing the battery to die. Let us know if you have a Carl Cthulhu whose eyes don't work, and we'll send you a new Carl head.

Q: What is the status of my order?
A: Please send all order inquiries to orders@slavelabor.com (When you email with a question about an order, be sure to give us your full name, address, order number, and items ordered.), or call 1-800-866-8929. Please keep in mind that our turn-around time will probably be longer than that of a company like Amazon.com. We're substantially smaller (there's only four to six of us in the office at any one time), so please be patient. Orders usually ship from our office within two weeks.
The most common cause for a delayed order is a problem with customers' check cards. Now that most people have those credit card/check cards, they pay out of their checking account. The problem is that if your balance when the order is processed is insufficient, it comes back to us as a "credit card declined", and we have to try to contact you about it. If we can't reach you, we have to wait for you to contact us. It is up to you to make sure your account can cover the purchase, no matter what the actual day the order is processed. Remember that if an item is out of stock, that portion of your order will not be processed on the same day as the other items. You should still ensure that your account can cover that amount when it does return to stock.
Sometimes, items are shipped in separate boxes, and don't arrive on the same day. If you ordered a toy or a poster in addition to your comics, chances are you will be receiving two packages. Please wait another day or two before calling to complain you didn't receive something.
Q: My online order status says "credit card approval needed." Is there a problem with my credit card?
A: No, that means that we haven't charged your credit card yet. If there is a problem with your credit card, you will receive an e-mail from our order department.
Q. The comic book I want is listed as "out of stock" in the webstore. Does that mean it's of print?
A: No. As long as there is a substantial demand for titles, we keep them in print. The webstore is tied into our inventory system IN THE OFFICE, and only refers to what is in this building. Most of our inventory is actually stored at the printer, and we are continually receiving new books.
You can still order something, even if it is out of stock. Since most books that are "out of stock" will be back in stock in a week or two, you might as well back order it. Back ordering means as soon as we have it, you order will be filled and sent. You might get it sooner back ordering it, than if you waited until the webstore listed it as "in stock."

Creators
Q: How can I contact my favorite creator?
A: Most of the creators list their e-mail or snail-mail addresses in their comic books, but we also have a creator information page that has that information. If they don't have their snail-mail address listed and you'd like to send a letter, you may send it to us, and we will forward it. Keep in mind, however, that we do not forward packages to creators unless they have told us that they are expecting something. So if you have something you'd like to send that's not a letter, e-mail the creator and get persmission to send it. They'll let us know that it's okay to forward it.
Q: I'm a journalist/convention organizer/talent head-hunter. How can I contact an SLG creator?
A: Our creators make their own arrangements for interviews, convention attendance, and outside projects, so it's best to contact them directly. You can find many of their e-mail addresses on our creator information page.

Submissions
Q: How can I get my comic book considered for publication by Slave Labor Graphics?
A: Take a look at our submission guidelines. Please follow them. Please. It would also be helpful to read editor-in-chief Jennifer de Guzman's submission tips.
Q: Do I have to be of a certain age or have formal training to submit to you?
A: Nope.
Q: Do you accept submissions from people outside of the United States?
A: Yes. Please send International Reply Coupons (IRCs) and a self-addressed envelope for our reply.
Q: What type of comics is SLG looking for?
A: The best way to get an idea of what we like is to take a look at what we publish, especially the newer titles. There is no particular "type" of comic book we look for; we base our decisions based on the quality of the art and writing.
Q: In what format should my submission be?
A: Obviously, don't send us your original artwork (that's your irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind, you-actually-drew-on-the-paper artwork); send us photocopies or print-outs of your work. We prefer to receive submissions on regular letter-sized paper.
Q: I know your submission guidelines say you don't accept electronic submissions, but what if I ---
A: No.
Q:Well, how about --
A:No.
Q: What about --
A: No. Our submission guidelines say we do not accept electronic submissions. That means in any form. Quite frankly, the fact that you are trying to find a loophole makes us not want to publish you already.
Q: I have an idea for a comic book. Is it something you'd be interested in publishing?
A: When it comes to ideas, so much is dependent on the execution, so we can't really tell you if we'd be interested solely on your description of your project. We need to see and read the actual work.
Q: Would you publish something that isn't a comic book?
A: Perhaps. We've published a few illustrated storybooks. However, keep in mind that our distribution model is not best suited for these kinds of books, so we are a bit more hesitant to take on storybook projects from artists who do not have an established reputation with SLG.
Miscellaneous
Q: Can I get a job at SLG?
A: We have a full roster right now, but you can always send in your resume to Dan, just in case.
Q: Do you offer internships?
SLG is a small company, so we don't have a lot of work for interns. For that reason, we're currently not offering any internships.
Q: I want to publish my own comic book. Can you give me lots of advice and information and industry contacts and moral support?
A: Jennifer is a nice, helpful person, and when she gets requests like this, she really wants to help, but the fact is that she's also pretty busy with mysterious editor tasks that make her look like she's keeping busy. So, if you could limit your questions to stuff relating more or less specifically to SLG, she'd be most grateful.
Q: I'm a member of the media. How do I get review copies?
A: Please refer to the media section our Industry Professional Pages.
